A video camera at the AFIS workstation captures the image of the arrestee or offender during a booking process. That image is stored on the AFIS unit at the Delaware State Police's State Bureau of Identification (SBI). Through an interface to this unit, pictures are brought over and stored on the DELJIS mug shot computer. There they may be viewed by various Criminal Justice application programs.
The Department of Correction has a connection through a gateway server to the DELJIS mug shot server. The DOC uses this connection to retrieve and display photographs in various screens within the DACS.
