DCRC - Delaware Correctional Reentery Commision

Gov. John Carney signed Executive Order 27 on December 4, 2018 establishing the Delaware Correctional Reentry Commission to examine policies and procedures around re-entry. It is our responsibility to look out for every Delawarean. We need to make sure offenders who serve out their sentences are able to re-enter society ready to positively contribute to their communities and with the support they need to succeed. The Executive Order will improve our existing reentry procedures, and reduce recidivism, thereby strengthening communities across our state.

Honorable Charles E. Butler

Judge on the Superior Court of Delaware

The Honorable Charles E. Butler has served as a Judge on the Superior Court of Delaware since December 7, 2012. Prior to coming to Superior Court, Judge Butler was Delaware's Chief Deputy Attorney General. From 1985 to 1995, Judge Butler served as a prosecutor in the Delaware Department of Justice, and he was an Assistant District Attorney with the City of Philadelphia from 1983 to 1985. He was formerly in private practice in his own firm in Delaware from 2004 to 2010.
