Kathy Jennings
Attorney General
Kathy Jennings was sworn in as Delaware’s 46th Attorney General in 2019. Attorney General Jennings joined the Delaware Department of Justice (DOJ) out of law school, starting her legal career as one of just two women in the Criminal Division. Before leaving the DOJ, Attorney General Jennings would serve as State Prosecutor and Chief Deputy Attorney General during which time she helped spearhead efforts to create the DOJ’s Consumer Fraud Division. She worked in private practice before returning to the DOJ in 2011 as State Prosecutor under Attorney Generals Beau Biden and Matt Denn. Prior to running for her current office, Attorney General Jennings was appointed Chief Administrative Officer of New Castle County by County Executive Matt Meyer, and she also served as the County’s Public Safety Director.
