VISION

The Chief of Staff reports to the Office of the Commissioner and serves as the Department's legislative liaison and serves as Public Information Officer. The Chief of Staff additionally facilitates internal and external strategic partnerships, advises the Commissioner on a range of policy and program areas, and provide centralized Department-wide leadership and coordination across DOC bureaus, with state agencies and external partners to advance major initiatives, develops and implements policies, and evaluates and spearheads the rollout of new programs.
